The best day of our life - yes, it was truly the happiest and most fantastic experience. It also was more than just a day, it was an entire weekend and it doesn't stop there. Every time we pick up our photos or talk about the party it comes back to life. It is really cool!

It was so special not just because of us taking this step, but because of all the people that have joined us when we exchanged our woes and partied with us before and after. We recognize that getting to Garmisch was a trip for everyone and for some a very long journey. We also know that there are some people who could not make it to Garmisch in person, but whose thoughts and wishes have reached us. We very much appreciate it. Not only were we already excited about taking this step, but every time we saw someone arrive either on that Friday or Saturday in Garmisch it added to it. Seeing friends that we fortunately spend a lot of time with as well as friends that we don't get to see as much as we wish all at one place was unique and wonderful.

While we had almost three days to party we didn't get to talk to everyone as much as we had hoped. Somebody on Friday night hit the "Fast Forward" button and everything went very fast thereafter. But we look forward to catch up with you soon.

There are a lot of people who have contributed to the festivities and have helped us a great deal before and throughout the days in Garmisch. We are thinking about our local friends Angela and Hans who had all the connections and among other things helped to arrange the Bavarian entertainment. Herbert was the one who made the web site happening initially and this time around again. Christine (Wagner) was the special advisor for the wedding dress and helped to get the purchase done in record time. There are Diane and Martina who did an excellent job as Masters of Ceremony and with the help of Steffi, Claudia and Hubert crafted the name cards and menus. I guess no one could miss the slide show and "wisdom" of Josef, the comedian. This session was orchestrated by Thomas and sponsored by a team of dear friends. There was the customized poetry by Katrin and Marianne. The song "New York, New York..." developed a new meaning for us after hearing the latest version from Diane,
Claudia, Steffi and Martina. The "Mayerhofer & Delius Creative Corporation" welcomed us with a very big heart outside the church and later on brought out the photographer in many people. It was reported that the crew from Simbach ventured out on one early morning to cut a big tree in order to create a very special packaging for their gift. We are still sweating from sawing. What car could have fit better for this day than a 20-year old beetle convertible that had lived the first part of its life in the US before it found a new owner in Bavaria. Juergen had it prepped perfectly. Birgit and Hubert (senior) had already been our witnesses at the civil ceremony in October last year and did it again. We would also like to mention Decan Ludwig Streicher who guided us through the ceremony and gave us lots of good advice. Also part of the ceremony were the altar boys (Philipp, Herbert, Beppo and Thomas) who looked very familiar in this outfit (just a little older than it used to be)
and Hans-Juergen, Kevin and Hubert (junior) presenting the readings.

We would like to say a big thank you to all of you for doing this, for being there and for all your generous gifts.

Finally we want to do some advertising. We highly recommend our photographers Petra and Christoph Vohler, our videographer Armin Schmidt and our musicians the "Downtown Band" if you ever have a need. Their services and performance was outstanding. Let us know if you need contact information.
We also think that the various venues, the Panorama on Friday, the Berggasthof am Pflegersee on Saturday and the restaurant at Kreuzalm on Sunday had very good food and service.
